Content | • Basic concepts and definitions, radiation laws, atmospheric radiation budget, absorption and scattering processes, radiative transfer in different spectral regions • Atmospheric humidity and stability, cloud formation (homogeneous and heterogeneous nucleation), Köhler theory, droplet growth, coagulation and coalescence, precipitation formation (warm and cold rain processes), Ice clouds and snow, thunderstorms • Measurements of radiation and cloud properties, radar meteorology | |||
