Module objectives and skills to be acquired

Self-reliant processing of a limited problem of geophysics or meteorology. Application of modern methods as well as the funded written presentation of scientific results.

3 Module content

The master thesis deals with a limited topic of geophysics and meteorology, worked on independently, that is documented in a written thesis of at most 70 pages.

Project (Master thesis), seminar (Master colloquium)
5 Prerequisites (for the module)

Formal: passed module "Project work"
6 Type of examination
  • Written master thesis (graded, enters with a weight of 75% into the module mark)
  • Presentation of the results of the master thesis in a colloquium (graded, enters with a weight of 25% into the module mark). A passed master thesis is required for admission to the master colloquium.
7 Credits awarded

The module is passed, and the credit points will be awarded, if
  1. the master thesis is passed, and
  2. the master colloquium is passed.
